Clinic Update - April
Olivia had her monthly Clinic yesterday. It was very short since they had all seen her two weeks prior and while she was in the hospital. They said everything looked and sounded good. They scheduled her to have CT scan at her next Clinic to sheck out her sinuses since she pretty much has a sinus infection 24/7. Her BMI dropped to around 25%, which concerned her dietician. I'm not concerned about it because she was sick and then hospitalized (during wich she had 2 days that she couldn't eat) and has been at home with her schedule a little off from normal. I 100% think that now that she's all better and back to her normal schedule, her weight will come back to where we want it. We did find out that we wouldn't be able to get the vest for her until she gains at least 1.5 pounds and that insurance will put up a big fight until after she's two. I love insurance! The best thing about Clinic yesterday was that she had her PICC removed!!!! YAHOOO!!! Life can now go back to normal (whatever that means).

I'm glad things went well. I know what you mean about "normal". It's a great day when Seamus finishes a round of new drugs and goes from 10medicines a day back to the "normal" 8 medicines a day.
Insurance stinks. Sorry you have to wait on the vest.
That is great that she had a good clinic vist! I have a feeling that we will have to fight our insurance for a vest as well! It makes me so mad that they can tell us what and when to do things in regard to our/our child's health! I am not sure what we would do if our life was "normal"!

PS. Cute picture at the Littlest Heroes Project!
Sounds like a good clinic visit overall! I hope she is able to gain her weight and get the vest soon, that will be so nice for you all!

Just wanted to let you know that we got Parker a vest when he was 16 months and our insurance didn't give us any trouble....maybe all ins. are different though.
