The diagnosis is in...

Olivia had her re-check with her wonderful pediatrician today to make sure she was getting better.  He took one look at her and said that it is, without a doubt, Hand, Food and Mouth Disease.  This seems to be going around right now - I know my godmother's grandson in Houston had it, as did Gwyneth.  I can easily say that I know exactly how Olivia is feeling because I also have HFMD!  I caught it from Olivia being right beside her for three days straight non-stop in the hospital - drinking from her sippy cup probably didn't help either.  It's not so much fun and my throat is hurting more than when I used to get strep.  I have more blisters on my hands than Olivia does (and they suck), but she has blisters on her tongue.  She is finally starting to act like she's feeling better, THANK GOODNESS!!  On a side note, when they were trying to rule things out in the hospital they did a stool culture and it grew SALMONELLA!!  Where the heck did that come from?  She got the "all clear" from that back in January!  I'm confused, but they took another sample to grow another culture so we'll see what that grows!

Our Great Strides walk is in the morning, but is probably going to get rained out.  Keep your fingers crossed for us to have great weather!
